“After applying over 20 years for a once-in-a-lifetime Colorado archery moose license in Unit 76, 2021 was my lucky year. At the age of 67, I needed to find an outfitter to help with the hunt. A search on the Colorado Outfitters Association website found several alternatives, but after talking with Brady Noble, 5 Bar N Outfitters, I knew I had found a perfect match!
Brady and his team hunt in a fantastic, remote area; and worked really hard before and after the hunt to get me an archery opportunity at a good bull moose.
We spotted several moose on the 12-mile pack trip into our wilderness camp, that was already set-up and ready to go. I’m not a horse person and was dreading the ride, but it was unexpectedly enjoyable with the great horse I rode. Food was fantastic and accommodations very comfortable.
I planned for the hunt to take several weeks, but all the stars aligned on the second day of hunting when my guide spotted a nice bull at daybreak. Long story short, we stalked and waited for what seemed a lifetime, until a 25-yard quartering away shot opportunity arose. The guides did a great job tracking the blood trail, and caping & boning out the huge bull.
I cannot say enough about how dedicated everyone was to my success, and how hard Brady and his crew worked on the hunt. Every aspect of the hunt exceeded all my expectations, and I would enthusiastically recommend 5 Bar N Outfitters for anyone’s hunting adventure!!

“Shooting a bull elk has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, which is why my Dad started applying for my points when I turned 10. Turns out you can’t apply until your 12 and have your firearm safety certificate, so at age 12 I started applying again.
After accumulating 19 points it was finally time to start planning my hunt! I knew that I wanted to do a pack-in hunt and that’s when I found 5 Bar N - I am so thankful that I did!
I don’t think you will find a nicer group of guys. They were very polite and accommodating.
The camp set up was great. You will certainly not go hungry in this camp! There was always plenty of food. I think I ate better in camp then I do at home.
The hunt was AMAZING. I was extremely lucky - the weather was good, and the elk were still in rut (which I was not expecting for a first rifle season hunt).
My guide was absolutely the best! He was an experienced guide and knew the area very well. He did a great job communicating what he thought the best plan of action was and making sure I was comfortable with it before we did it.
I was lucky and came home with a nice bull, but even if I hadn’t, the experience alone would have been enough. It was truly a dream come true.

“I chose 5barN in 2021 after speaking with several different outfitters, Brady just seemed to understand what I was looking for. The logistics were easy and the country was exactly what I had hoped for, hunting big public land without any pressure. The 5barN team was outstanding, camp was set when we got their and everything was seemingly thought of - despite a big early snow making their prep work that much more difficult. They were ready the first morning with a plan to get us on Elk and it did not disappoint, I have never seen and heard so many animals. After a long day I was able to harvest a beautiful 6x6 late in the day. So after talking to Brady a couple times we booked, still wondering if we had made the right decision. O Boy did we ever make the right decision! From the time we got there until, son of a gun we gotta go home, those guys gave us a perfect week. Great camp conversation, great food, and morning prayers hunting in God’s country.
